TOKS Brand was first registered in 2006 by its Founder and Managing Director in Durban. I looked at the size of the ship’s engine, size of the ship, cargo volume it carried, the team involved right from point of planning from global customer demands, the team involved during transit and the CAPTAIN, from port of departure to its destinations on route.
An idea of TOKS that you see today was born and the next day I registerd my first company that has evolved to this date. This was one of the reflections that the human brain has little that it cannot bring into its fruition “. Management & Leadership
TOKS is led by its founder and Managing Director who originally comes and grew up from Kwa Maphumulo , a rural Area in KwaZulu Natal. He has combined 18 years industry experience. Having worked as a self-employed person as a builder at a young age, during his high school and after Matriculation Instilled a true sense of entrepreneurship in him right through his career, that to date keeps him and his team going.
The founder and Managing Director carries a Chartered Manager Status from (Chartered Management Institute in UK) , A Charted Director Status from Institute of Directors South Africa ) and MCIPS chartered Status.
He has worked for various international companies within the Supply Chain and Logistics environment. He has attained great experience and in-depth exposure in Logistics, transportation, Shipping, Clearing and Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, Aviation and Project Management, strategy design, Business Modelling and Process optimization.
He has been humbled by passion and drive to learn new things and keep up with the ever changing business environment and felt that it was instrumental to have a strong experience within an industry at all levels. It was quickly obvious that he has skills beyond logistics, moving cargo and Freight across countries and moved into various positions and Management. Now he is responsible for the Business Development, Strategy and Projects at TOKS and a Brand ambassador for the group of companies, that he first registered in 2006 in Durban.
